How to Change/update your Airtel SMSC Number on Android & iOS

To update your SMSC number of Airtel there is a different procedure for Android and iOS so follow them according to your device system.

Android

1. Dial – *#*#4636#*#* on Keypad.
2. It will automatically open ‘Testing’ settings. Now if you have two sims in your android phone then choose accordingly. In my case, Airtel sim was in 1st slot so I opened 1st option.
3. Now scroll down and try to find the ‘SMSC:’ option and type your state’s Airtel SMSC number and tap Update. I am from maharashtra thats why I typed Maharashtra’s Airtel SMSC number.

iOS

1. Dial *5005*7672*SMSCNUMBER# on your iPhone’s dialer & tap call. (Replace SMSCNUMBER with your state’s Airtel SMSC number.)
2. After that The message “Setting interrogation succeeded, Service Center Address” will appear on the screen.
3. After changing the SMSC number check your problem solved or not.
