Currently it is happening with me persistantly! What’s the solution for this?

Text messages are one of the oldest forms of communication. But still, text messaging is a secure and reliable method for verification and communication.

Even though the messaging features can work very well even in weak network connections, sometimes the messaging feature doesn’t work properly.

Although text messaging is very good for communication, sometimes it may give you errors related to sending text messages. So, to fix the issue that the text message failed to send from VI (Vodafone, Idea) sim you can try the tips listed below in the article. If you are not receiving sms messages on Vodafone idea then there few different solutions so read that post for fixes.

An SMSC number is responsible for handling the SMS operations of a wireless network. When an SMS message is sent from a mobile phone, it will reach an SMS center first. The SMS center then forwards the SMS message to the destination.

There is a different procedures for Android and iOS so follow them according to your device system.

Android
  1. Dial – *#*#4636#*#* on Keypad.

  2. I did a top-up recharge of Rs.10/- but my sms could not be sent by my bank’s mobile app for verification of my mobile number and device. It kept on saying message not sent / mobile number not formatted correctly. When I called VI customer care I was told by one Mr Ashish that the MSG ‘won’t go’. As my current plan does not support sms nor does the Rs.10 recharge support sms and that I should do a recharge of Rs.128 or Rs.129 to avail this facility of sms. I told him this is ridiculous. Just to send one sms why should I be forced to recharge with RS.128 or 129. I asked to speak to his supervisor to register my complaint / escalate this matter. But he kept on saying no one is available. But I insisted that he should at least try and connect me to his superior, whereupon he disconnected the call.

Ques to #PMO How can I be part of New / Digital India when because of such restrictive, unfair trade practices I am not able to even verify my device and mob.no.?

#TRAI needs to look into this restrictive and unfair trade practice of #VI #VodafoneIdea.

    • Vodafone Idea store is waiting for customers to come so that they could be converted to a postpaid plan. In spite of valid plans, and valid documents, they are not willing to give any service. I suspect, they intentionally stop sms service so that customers fall into a problem and easily prey to their postpaid plan.

  3. I can’t believe, so many users reported this problem. But .. but .. but .. nobody here says this ..
.. SMS sending was never ever an issue for me until one day last week. It stopped all of a sudden. Without giving me any explanation.
    ..
I believe, the best way out of this is this ..
    1. Find a feature phone, and move the sim card to it. (I have not tried it yet for a reason)
    2. Then port the number to airtel or jio. Because to port, you will need to send an sms.
    3. Or instead of 2 .. visit the dealer of airtel or jio .. and tell him about this.

Wake up the dead pranab mukherjee from his grave and ask the idiot to impose another retrospective tax on all phone companies. The bloody saffron party gave him a bharat ratna. God (Ram) only knows why.

  4. I faced this issue with Vodafone SIM on Android 7 Xiaomi MiMax. At the same time there was no problem with Jio SIM on the same mobile, or the same Vodafone SIM on a different mobile. Unfortunately the steps in this article did not help solve the issue. But what helped in my case was disabling VoLTE – there seems to be a incompatibility between VoLTE and SMS sending with Vodafone SIM, on some mobiles/Android versions.
